- ✓Valid South African driver's licence (Code B or higher), held for at least 12 months
- ✓Professional Driving Permit (PrDP), or willingness to obtain one before driving

- ✓Willing to drive on Bolt (existing Bolt drivers get priority)
- ✓Own a smartphone capable of running the Bolt driver app

Do I need to already be driving for Bolt to apply?
No. We work with both existing Bolt driver-partners and drivers who want to start. If you're new to Bolt, our team can guide you through signing up.
What exactly is included in the weekly fee?
Comprehensive insurance, vehicle service and maintenance, a replacement vehicle if yours is off the road, telematics and tracking, and a fully compliant, panic-button-fitted vehicle. Fuel and any traffic fines are not included.
Is this a rental or do I own the car?
This is a fleet rental, not financing or ownership. You pay a flat weekly fee to drive a HAKKI-owned vehicle — there's no logbook transfer or ownership at the end of the term.
What happens if the vehicle breaks down or needs a service?
We arrange and cover the service or repair, and get you into a replacement vehicle so you can keep earning while yours is off the road.
What if I'm in an accident?
Every vehicle is comprehensively insured. Contact our team immediately after any incident and we'll guide you through the claims process and replacement vehicle arrangements.
Is there a deposit or minimum contract length?
Yes — a R6 000 deposit is required. We also offer a flexible option: pay 50% upfront and the rest over 12 weekly instalments. Speak to our team for current minimum term requirements.
Can I use the vehicle outside of Bolt driving?
The fleet is set up specifically for Bolt ridehailing. Talk to our team about what personal use, if any, is permitted under your rental agreement.
How fast can I start driving?
Once your application and documents are verified, most drivers are matched with a vehicle and on the road within days.
